RAW Sports was proud to team up with the Arizona Cardinals and NFL Canada to host a one-of-a-kind FREE youth football camp in Calgary on Saturday, July 12, 2025. The Touchdown Takeoff with the Arizona Cardinals was the Cardinals’ first official youth football event in Calgary, and it was an unforgettable experience for young athletes and families alike.
The camp brought the energy of the NFL straight to Calgary, offering local youth a chance to learn football skills in a fun, welcoming environment. Over 230 players, ages 4–14, hit the field to develop their fundamentals, connect with peers, and enjoy the rare opportunity of training under the umbrella of a professional NFL franchise.
For RAW Sports, being selected as the local partner to help bring this event to life was a milestone. It highlighted the growth of football in Calgary and showcased how strong the local football community has become.
One of the biggest highlights of the day was the chance for kids to meet Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Isaiah Adams. For many young athletes, it was their very first time meeting an NFL player in person. Adams didn’t just show up — he spoke with players, offered encouragement, and signed autographs for every participant. Seeing a Canadian who worked his way to the NFL made the dream feel real for kids who one day hope to follow in his footsteps.
The excitement continued with the Cardinals’ mascot, Big Red, who brought energy, fun, and plenty of photo opportunities. From cheering on the field to engaging with families, Big Red helped create an authentic NFL atmosphere. Together, Adams and Big Red turned a youth camp into a day kids will never forget.
Like all RAW events, the camp focused on more than just football. Kids worked on movement, agility, throwing, catching, and teamwork in an encouraging atmosphere designed for all skill levels. Whether participants were trying football for the first time or refining their existing abilities, the emphasis was on learning, growth, and building confidence through structured drills and positive coaching.
The camp also gave players the chance to challenge themselves in a supportive environment, where efforts and improvement were celebrated just as much as results. Parents could see their kids developing new skills, making connections, and gaining a stronger sense of belonging on the field.
The Touchdown Takeoff with the Arizona Cardinals is just the beginning. With NFL Canada and the Cardinals investing in the growth of the sport, opportunities for young athletes in Calgary and across Canada will only continue to expand. RAW Sports is proud to be part of this movement — providing pathways for youth athletes, growing the game at every level, and bringing the excitement of the NFL north of the border.
