Join RAW Sports for an unforgettable flag football experience, designed for fun, skill development, and to streamline your growth and prepare you for the upcoming season. Our goal is to become Calgary’s premier competitive flag football league. This season, we will have teams in every quadrant of the city.

Who can Attend The RAW Calgary Flag Football League?

Our league follows Football Canada’s age brackets

Co-ed, all skill level, positions. Ages 4-13 (turning these ages in 2026).

Under 6 (U6) – Years of birth: 2021, 2022. Ages turning in 2026: 4, 5

Under 8 (U8) – Years of birth: 2019, 2020. Ages turning in 2026: 6, 7

Under 10 (U10) – Years of birth: 2017, 2018. Ages turning in 2026: 8, 9

Under 12 (U12) – Years of birth: 2015, 2016. Ages turning in 2026: 10, 11

Under 14 (U14) – Years of birth: 2013, 2014. Ages turning in 2026: 12, 13

Under 16 (U16) – Years of birth: 2011, 2012. Ages turning in 2026: 14, 15 – For non-tackle players only – tackle players should participate in Calgary Spring League Football.

Season Dates: April 18 – June 6, 2026

Practices: Wednesday evenings (exact times to be announced) | There is also a Saturday only team available.

Games: Saturday afternoons (exact times to be announced)

NW Practice Location (Tentative)

Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton – 4995 Market St SE, Calgary, AB T3M 2P9

NE Practice Location

Saturday-Only Team
The Saturday-only group will practice at Shouldice Aquatic Centre (across the street from Shouldice Turf Field) immediately before their scheduled games.

Game Days

All games for all teams will be played at Shouldice Turf Fields.

What Does the RAW Calgary Flag Football league Include?

*Each team will have one paid RAW coach running the team, as well as 1-2 parent volunteers assisting.*

RAW Sports will provide t-shirts, mouthguard, and flag belts.

• Flag football fundamentals
• Offensive and defensive skill development
• Physical literacy training
• Speed and agility training
• Character development: using football as a vehicle to foster work ethic, discipline, teamwork, and other important life skills and virtues. 
• Exposure: Each age group will have a North and South All Star team selected to participate an all star game. *Please Note: There is an additional fee for players who participate in the All Star Teams*

Equipment Information:

Participants are responsible for bringing the following:

• Water Bottle
• Shorts (no pockets)
• Cleats
• Football gloves (optional)

RAW Sports will provide t-shirts, mouthguard, head ties and flag belts.

Shirt Sizes:

When signing up, you’ll be asked to select your jersey size!

Youth Sizes (Ages 4–12):

• Youth Small (YS): Similar to a child size 6–8
• Youth Medium (YM): Similar to a child size 10–12
• Youth Large (YL): Similar to a child size 14–16
• Youth Extra Large (YXL): Similar to a child size 18–20

Adult Sizes (Ages 13 and up):

• Adult Small (S): Typically fits a 34–36 inch chest
• Adult Medium (M): Typically fits a 38–40 inch chest
• Adult Large (L): Typically fits a 42–44 inch chest
• Adult Extra Large (XL): Typically fits a 46–48 inch chest
