What Does the Football Camp Include?

The camp will be run by Jared West, Coach West has over 10 years of coaching football across Alberta and British Columbia. With support from Anthony Woodson and Robert Woodson both CFL veterans who have provided football camps in Calgary over the past 10 years. With other experienced coaches ranging from CFL, U Sport, Junior, High School, and/or NCCP Certification.

“HIIT” (High-Intensity Interval Training) – Using bodyweight exercises, athletes go through various exercises in a circuit-style workout. This is a great form of strength & conditioning to help develop coordination and plyometric skills.

“Shells” football is a new age form of training without the injury risk level of full contact football. Our “Shells” concept involves athletes wearing helmets and shoulder pads only. Contact is controlled and players remain on their feet. In this environment injury risk is minimal, but players get a unique, dynamic and game like training experience.

“RAW Sports has allowed me to elevate my game immensely. With great coaching, training and energy within the program, RAW Sports will prepare every athlete to perform on game day. In this program each athlete will learn the value of hard work, dedication and discipline.” – Deane Leonard, DB, LA Chargers.
“RAW Sports has helped me develop into the player, and the person I am today. I have learned things I can integrate into my everyday life to become a better person. Learning about things like effort and responsibility are key things I’ve learned from football that I can take everywhere in my “toolbox”. The experience and high-level play from the coaches help you realize that this is some of the best coaching you can get in the offseason. Another piece of Raw is the family aspect you get from it. Everyone is there together to get better and you get to meet new people as well as work against some other top competitors in the city. They mix in some fun with all the hard work to make every session enjoyable as well as give you a feeling that you are getting better. Almost all my thanks go to raw for the player I am, as well as the man I am today.” – Jaxon Vandenberghe, DB, U of A Golden Bears.
“They are love love loving it. And so am I! The passion you all have shines through. The hustle without the harshness is very effective. I just cannot talk highly enough about how encouraging everyone single person is out there! We love this program and are so happy to have found it!!  Thank you again for such an amazing first football experience.” – Parent
