Our youth football camp is built to develop the complete athlete: the skills to excel in football, the physical tools to perform at their best, and the mindset to compete with confidence.
Athletic Foundations & Body Movement Skills
We start with the building blocks of athletic success: proper body mechanics and fundamental movement skills. Athletes learn correct technique for running, cutting, jumping, landing, and changing direction, which helps them:
- ✓Improve overall athletic ability
- ✓Build strength, explosiveness, and acceleration
- ✓Enhance speed, agility, and quickness
- ✓Reduce injury risk through balanced training and mobility work
This foundation is reinforced with a targeted fitness program that develops every key performance quality:
- ✓Plyometrics for power
- ✓Strength training for stability and force
- ✓Speed mechanics for efficient sprinting
- ✓Agility drills for sharp direction changes
- ✓Core and mobility training for durability and peak performance
By pairing correct movement patterns with athletic conditioning, we set athletes up for long-term success in any sport.
Dynamic Football Training
Our football sessions are high-energy, game-relevant, and designed to maximize skill development. Athletes are grouped by age and ability to ensure optimal learning and competition. Training includes:
- ✓Position-Specific Coaching: Tailored instruction for offensive and defensive roles, focusing on the technical details that separate good players from great ones
- ✓Football Fundamentals: Every player learns offensive, defensive, and special teams fundamentals
- ✓Game-Like Drills: Competitive scenarios that challenge decision-making and sharpen football IQ
This balance of fundamentals, position-specific training, and competitive reps builds confidence and prepares athletes to perform when it counts.
Weekly Online Film Sessions
Every Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, athletes join an online film session to review technique, break down game situations, and sharpen their football IQ off the field. It is a chance to learn the mental side of the game, reinforce what they worked on at practice, and see the details that separate good players from great ones.
Values, Mentorship & Life Skills
For us, developing a player’s athletic ability is only part of what we do. Our deeper goal is to develop better people, not just better players. We build young men and women of strong character who carry what they learn here into their families, classrooms, and communities long after the season ends.
Our coaching team, featuring current and former CFL players, U Sports/CIS coaches and players, and NCCP-certified trainers, goes beyond teaching the game. These are mentors first, and they treat every rep as a chance to build the person behind the athlete. We believe football is a platform for life lessons, and through structured competition and positive reinforcement, we emphasize:
- ✓Hard work & discipline
- ✓Teamwork & respect
- ✓Sportsmanship & commitment
- ✓Goal setting & mental toughness
- ✓Resilience & accountability
- ✓Leadership & positive role modeling
- ✓Pride & passion for the game
We teach athletes to compete with class, to lift up their teammates, to handle both success and setbacks with humility, and to take ownership of their attitude and effort every single day. These are the habits that win football games, and the same habits that build good people.
Every athlete leaves camp not only as a stronger football player, but as a more confident, respectful, and resilient young person, equipped with the values and mindset to succeed in sport, in the classroom, and in life.
At RAW Sports, we offer more than just football training. We provide an all-encompassing development experience that equips young athletes with both exceptional skills and strong character. Our elite coaches and mentors use football as a platform to teach essential life values such as resilience, hard work, and teamwork. We believe adversity is a powerful teacher, and our programs are designed to help athletes build a positive mindset and overcome challenges. By focusing on position-specific skill development, we empower our players to reach their full potential and gain a competitive edge.
We are committed to creating exposure opportunities for our athletes, including competition against top-level players and access to an extensive university recruiting network. With camps across Canada and high-quality film for recruiting purposes, we are dedicated to helping players succeed both on and off the field. As Canada’s premier football position-specific skill development organization, RAW Sports is the ultimate choice for families seeking the best for their young athletes.
