RAW Alum Ryan Hassett Makes History with State Championship Win

The RAW Football community is thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievement of Ryan Hassett, who has been a part of the RAW family since 2019. Ryan, a standout player at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in Georgia, helped his team secure their first-ever football state championship title. We couldn’t be prouder of his hard work and dedication.
 
On Friday, November 15, 2024, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School made history by defeating Providence Day School 42-39 in the NCISAA state final. The electric home crowd witnessed an unforgettable performance by Ryan and his teammates.

Ryan’s path to success began in Calgary, where he played minor football for the Calgary Cowboys and high school football for the St. Francis Browns. His family’s move to the US led him to Clearwater Academy in Florida and eventually to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in Georgia. Throughout his journey, Ryan’s passion for football and commitment to excellence have remained constant.

In the state championship game, Ryan recorded a sack and a handful of tackles, contributing to his team’s thrilling victory. This season, he boasted impressive stats with 40 tackles, 6 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles.
Ryan’s outstanding performance this season has caught the attention of several D1 college football programs, generating interest and anticipation for his first official offer.
 

We’ve been proud to support Ryan’s development through our youth football camps, high school football strength & conditioning programs, and the WinSport Elite training program. Ryan’s growth as a person and player during his time with us has been remarkable, and we’re excited to continue supporting his development as he embarks on the next stages of his career.

Ryan’s parents, Tara and Dwayne Hassett, have seen firsthand the impact of RAW’s training and mentorship on their son’s success. Tara shares: “RAW Sports developed Ryan into the athlete he is today, inspiring the kind of work ethic, technique, and passion it takes to succeed as a high-level athlete… Ryan would not be where he is today without the support, training, and expertise of RAW Sports.” Dwayne echoes this sentiment:“RAW was very encouraging but also very realistic. They laid out exactly what was required to meet goals, and where Ryan actually was in relation to that… That kind of leadership is what got him to where he is today.”
 

Ryan Hassett’s state championship win and rising college prospects are a shining example of what can be achieved through perseverance, teamwork, and the right mentors and guidance. Congratulations, Ryan!
