Liam Hall: Moncton’s Defensive Difference-Maker
Defense isn’t always about stats, it’s about impact. And throughout camp, Liam Hall made his presence felt on every rep.
The Moncton, New Brunswick native earned Older Defensive MVP by playing fast, physical, and smart. Whether it was reading plays, closing space, or finishing tackles, Liam consistently disrupted everything in front of him.
He didn’t just react, he dictated.
A Track Record of Excellence
Liam’s reume reflects a player who’s been performing at a high level for years. He’s a Canada Cup All-Star, a 2× U18 Canada Cup Defensive MVP, and has earned MVP honours at both linebacker and defensive back at MHS.
While he currently has no college offers, his body of work shows a player ready for that next opportunity.
Instincts Meet Physicality
“Explosive, physical, smart.”
That combination defines Liam’s game. He brings the physical edge needed on defense, but pairs it with the awareness to read plays before they develop. It’s what allows him to consistently be around the ball.
Why He Loves the Game
For Liam, football has always been about more than just competition.
“My favourite memory would be when it was my first time ever playing football as a young kid and all the things I felt right before my first game, excitement, nervousness. I enjoy that memory so much because every time I have a game it brings me back to that nostalgic feeling.”
That passion is still at the core of how he plays today.
Recognition Earned
Being named Older Defensive MVP is something Liam values deeply.
“Being named camp MVP means a lot to me because it showed my craft and skill I worked on during the off seasons is paying off. And it is greatly appreciated being given this huge accolade with all the competition that was there.”
It’s a reflection of the work and the standard he’s set.
Looking Forward
Liam’s focus is simple: keep competing.
“My goal is to play at the next level, whether that’s in the States or wherever, and compete against the best every day.”
With his mindset and defensive presence, he’s ready for whatever comes next.
