Football in the Olympics: Flag football is making its Olympic debut in 2028 at the Los Angeles Summer Olympics. This exciting news provides even more motivation for kids to sign up and play football. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) officially approved flag football’s inclusion in the 2028 Olympics, with two events planned: one for men and one for women.
Calgary Minor Football Age Divisions
Calgary minor football offers four main age divisions:
Atom Football (Under 11): For players born in 2015, 2016, or 2017
PeeWee Football (Under 13): For players born in 2013 or 2014
Bantam Football (Under 16): For players born in 2010, 2011, or 2012 (no Grade 10’s)
Spring Football: For grade 9-11 students, featuring Junior and Senior age divisions (new in 2025).
Each division provides a unique opportunity for players to develop their skills, learn from experienced coaches, and compete against other teams.
