Must be currently playing or commited to play in USports or CJFL.

When is the Program Held?

The program starts April 28th and ends on August 31st.

Where Is Program Held?

WinSport offers our team access to four gyms and two tracks. This provides us with the opportunity to split our athletes up between age, position, and skill level to provide a competitive and elevating environment for our athletes. This also means there will no longer be any limitations on our programming, and gives us the equipment and space required to create a program that rivals the best training available across Canada and the US.

Field Session are held at McMahon grass field from  April 29th – June 12th and at Shouldice Athletic Park from June 17th – July 31st

Program Details

The RAW Complete University Off-Season Program is the most comprehensive, position-specific football training system available in Western Canada. Combining the RAW x Winsport University Gym Program and the RAW Field Prep Program, this package delivers 113 total hours of elite coaching, split between the gym and the field — all built to get you fully prepared for training camp.

RAW Football Field Prep Program

  • Sprint mechanics, agility, plyos, competitive movement drills

Field Prep

This is not a youth camp.
This is high-performance on-field prep — built exclusively for current university and junior football athletes. Over 14 weeks, we take you from elite sprint mechanics and explosive movement work into football-specific positional training, with every rep designed to translate directly to the game.

Field Prep (June & July Only)

This 7-week field training program is designed to elevate football-specific speed, movement, and skill work during the most critical phase of the off-season. Focused entirely on game-ready field development, this program prepares athletes for camp with structured sprint work, position-specific drills, and high-intensity competitive reps.

It’s perfect for athletes returning to Calgary in mid-June or looking for a focused, professional-grade field experience without the full spring commitment.

Winsport Training Program

The RAW x Winsport University Training Program is a position-specific, periodized training system engineered for high-performance football athletes. Designed to complement elite university strength programs, this system delivers 63 hours of tailored development in one of the top training environments in Canada — preparing athletes to arrive at camp stronger, faster, and more resilient than ever.

Training Phases

Phase 1: Strength Development (Weeks 1–5)
Goal: Maximize force production through neural and muscular adaptation

  • High-intensity, low-volume lifting protocols
  • Foundational strength in key movement patterns (hinge, squat, press, pull)
  • Emphasis on joint control, bracing, and movement efficiency
  • Designed to increase absolute strength and structural balance

Phase 2: Strength-to-Power Transition (Weeks 6–9)
Goal: Convert raw strength into explosive force production

  • Velocity-based training principles applied to core lifts
  • Olympic lift variations, medicine ball work, and plyometrics
  • Increased rate of force development (RFD) and CNS priming
  • Integrated contrast and complex training methods

Phase 3: Power-to-Field Transfer & Resilience (Weeks 10–14)
Goal: Peak movement performance while reducing injury risk at max output

  • Reduced volume, increased intensity and specificity
  • Advanced plyometric and reactive drills for speed transfer
  • Positional movement prep and energy system targeting
  • Targeted injury prevention work: posterior chain focus, deceleration mechanics, isometric strength
  • Program culminates in peak performance readiness for training camp
