Football Canada is revolutionizing the flag football landscape with the introduction of new pathways to nationals, providing more opportunities for athletes and teams to compete, develop, and elevate their game.
Club Flag Nationals: A New Era for Club Teams
Introduced in 2024, the Club Flag Nationals offer club teams from across Canada the chance to compete for a national title in the U14, U16, U18, and U19 age divisions. This championship celebrates grassroots development while fostering high-level competition among Canada’s best club teams.
Elite Flag Nationals: The Pinnacle of Provincial Competition
The Elite Flag Nationals, established in 2007, bring together provincial teams to compete for the championship across four age groups. This tournament has evolved over the years, providing distinct pathways for young athletes to develop their game. In 2023, the U16 and U18 divisions merged to form the Elite Flag Nationals, also introducing a U14 division and streamlining competition.
